Groups

Through our years of experience, we have identified that isolation is one of the key factors impacting people. We do not necessarily have to have a disability to be affected by this, but certainly having one creates a huge risk as other vulnerabilities blossom.

Diversity Access aims to bridge this by imparting skill building groups led by allied health professionals to teach:

How We Do It

Our Allied Health Professionals can teach:

  • Life skills, and daily technology skills (such as, but not limited, to mobile phones, online banking, Facebook, messaging, emails, and other appliances)

  • Community life (bus & train timetables)

  • Communication skills: building tools to communicate with others to develop meaningful relationships.

  • Budgeting and financial skills

  • Cooking skills

  • Self-care and Grooming

  • Healthy body-healthy mind, becoming more self aware of mind, body and disability, developing profound understanding of themselves.

  • Understanding their NDIS  plans.
